Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join their team in Oxford, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM Pay: $15.69/Hour Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for clearly understanding work instructions used daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of the product being worked on.
  • Keep Supervisor informed on all ongoing activities.
  • Demonstrate initiative by evaluating situations, making decisions based on facts and solid judgments.
  • Act in a manner that represents a professional manner reflecting the company's values and principles.
  • Maintain a good attendance record, reporting to work on time every day and providing advanced notification of absences.
  • Arrive at meetings on time and prepare to participate.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with subordinates, supervisors, and all other staff members.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be a positive example to coworkers.
  • Constantly look for and suggest ways to perform duties and responsibilities more effectively.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that is compliant with all applicable regulatory bodies (FDA/ISO).
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Respect the confidentiality of the company, our customers and each other.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Measures of Performance:
  • Maintaining a quality standard of products be worked on.
  • Consistently working to our production standards.
  • Attendance and Participation at Company Meetings.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Supervisor are performed in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Maintaining a clean work area.
  • BODY POSITIONS: Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing job functions.
  • BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle plant equipment and tools, laptop, PC's and other peripheral equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to crouch when needed is also required.
  • BODY SENSES: The employee must have command of the following senses: sight, hearing, and touch. Specific abilities include vision must be able to discern colors.
  • STRENGTH: The employee must have the ability to lift 25 pounds with regularity.
