Job Summary: As a Medical Director/Center Physician at CSL Plasma, you will be responsible for providing medical oversight in compliance with Federal and State regulations. Your primary goal is to ensure high medical standards are maintained while monitoring medical compliance. You will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and overseeing medical supplies and emergency equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical oversight and monitor medical compliance in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high medical standards and ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Review and sign medical incident reports and donor suitability documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to company protocols.
- Oversee hyper-immune programs and determine donor suitability following adverse reactions, ensuring the safety of donors and the quality of plasma collected.
- Perform additional services as requested by the company, contributing to the overall success of CSL Plasma's mission.
Requirements:
- Hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
- Possess a current and active medical license in the state where the Center is located.
- Have completed one year of residency training as an MD or OD.
- Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and company Plasma Operating Procedures is essential for this role.
Working Conditions:
- Work in an environment frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing specific tasks or in certain areas, prioritizing your safety and the safety of others.
- Be prepared for overnight travel up to 75% of the time without lengthy lead-time, representing CSL Plasma in various settings.
- Engage in frequent standing and walking in a fast-paced environment with regular interruptions, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Estimated Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
