Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team at Rush Oak Park Hospital. As a key member of our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will play a critical role in conducting invasive cardiac cath and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting invasive cardiac cath and interventional procedures under the direct supervision of the Cardiac Cath / Interventional Radiology Nurse Manager.
  • Participate in all functions necessary to maintain high standards of care in all areas.
  • Exemplify the Rush mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
  • Operate highly complex equipment within the cardiac cath and interventional department, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs.
  • Document exams, transmit images, and charge accurately.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including checking stock inventory and initiating orders.
  • Be available for on-call status, as needed, after normal operating hours.
Requirements
  • 0 to 2 years of previous experience in a related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Program.
  • Registered by the ARRT.
  • Current Active Illinois State License.
  • Current CPR.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Verbal and written skills necessary to facilitate communication with a variety of personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree.
  • ACLS desirable (if no ACLS highly recommended to acquire in 6 months - 1 year after hire date).
Physical Demands

Requires full range body motion, including handling and lifting patients as necessary. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
