Job Summary:The Critical Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in the ICU/CCU. This includes evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, and developing individualized plans of care.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
- Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Deliver relationship-based care with respect for cultural differences and diversity of human experience.
- Delegate to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.
- Manage resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.
- State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification - Required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required for specific locations.
