Description


The Production Assembler plays a vital role within the manufacturing team, tasked with the assembly of electrical components, sub-assemblies, and completed units.

This position is essential for maintaining high-quality standards and operational efficiency in assembly tasks, contributing to the production of both standard and customized electrical assemblies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately and efficiently assemble electrical cables and subassemblies, adhering to detailed instructions and diagrams.
  • Assist in the layout and assembly of both standard and specialized electrical assemblies, ensuring precision and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure sufficient parts are available on the production floor to maintain seamless assembly operations.
  • Conduct cleaning and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as necessary, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in the assembly of prototypes, providing valuable feedback on assembly methods.
  • Support customer service efforts by addressing and resolving assembly-related issues in the field.
  • Follow guidance from cell leads and engineers, constructing sub-assemblies and finished units according to drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Execute necessary checkout procedures on assemblies to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a 5S workstation, fostering a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while maximizing Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembling mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with hand crimpers, cutters, wrenches, and other assembly tools is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and reports.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and assembly tools.
