Empirical Systems Aerospace Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to support the quality requirements of incoming and outgoing material and products in San Luis Obispo. The ideal candidate will possess technical hands-on capability with attention to detail, proficiency in measuring equipment, and experience with engineering drawings.

Salary Range

$25-$35/hour DOE based on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field, including ISO 9001/AS 9100D certification and proficiency in J-STD-001 and/or WHMA/IPC-A-620Machining experience. Additionally, experience with composites fabrication, aircraft avionics, and parts and inventory management is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of materials, purchased parts, and internally made parts using visual and dimensional methods.
  • Document all inspection results using company documentation forms.
  • Review specifications and drawings to understand product requirements.
  • Reject incoming materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report issues to concerned departments.
  • Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues while adhering to project deadlines.
