Job Summary:

JetBlue is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining state-of-the-art decision support tools in the areas of aircraft and crewmember scheduling and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advanced analytics that support strategic and tactical decision making by developing and maintaining state-of-the-art decision support tools.
Extract large quantities of data from IT systems and develop efficient ETLs.
Carry out complex data analysis and modeling and create solid recommendations to business owners.
Develop and implement advanced analytical models and processes to support decision making.
Write and review automation scripts for processing, reporting, and optimization of aircraft and/or crewmember schedule data.
Maintain and improve existing models and processes.
Participate in a broad range of ad-hoc projects doing advanced analytics for internal and external customers.
Support budget and goal development for operational business units.
Develop presentations and analysis for Senior department leaders on an ad hoc basis.
Responsible for all aspects of project development throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and foster relationships with internal and external customers.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, Operations Science, Statistics, or related field.
One year of experience in formulating large-scale optimization models, including Linear Programming (LPs) and Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MIPs).
A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field will be accepted in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of Linear Programming (LPs) and Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MIPs).
Commercial optimization solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX, etc.).
Multiple programming languages (Java, Python, and C++).
Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: $119,745 - $130,258 per year.
Benefits: 100% telecommuting; may be performed anywhere in the US that JetBlue has a legal presence.
Up to 10% domestic and international travel to JetBlue locations.
