The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures at ECU Health Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Assist the surgeon and assistants by providing sterile instruments and supplies as needed.
- Participate in educational programs and staff orientation to promote personal and professional development.
- Attend to the Service Excellence Program to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program or Certification from a Military Program.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (RN/LPN) or less than 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience (no CST required).
- American Heart Association BLS Certification (required for OR).
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (7a-3p), with one 11a-7p weekday shift per week. On-call duties include one night per week and one weekend (Sat & Sun) per 6-week schedule period.
