Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Supervisor for our Surgical / Oncology department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of clinical staff to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct high-quality shift huddles to communicate strategic priorities and ensure seamless patient care.
- Lead effective safety huddles and conduct environmental and safety rounding to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Round on staff regularly to remove barriers to quality care and enhance staff engagement.
- Review core measures and key performance indicators to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and simulation labs to ensure readiness.
- At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience, preferably in Surgical / Oncology.
- BSN or MSN preferred; Associate Degree RNs considered with a commitment to completing their BSN within one year.
- Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required; specialty certification within one year of hire or eligibility.
