Job Title: Vice President Marketing

At Big Loud Rock, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive business growth.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our roster of rock artists. This includes planning, directing, and executing marketing campaigns, as well as analyzing results and identifying key opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute frontline album release marketing plans with a focus on consumer-driven marketing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate initiatives that support label releases and projects.
  • Act as primary liaison between artist and label, maintaining awareness of communication and issues.
  • Communicate status and issues related to album releases to executives and departments.
  • Analyze results of marketing efforts and identify key opportunities.
  • Partner with artists, managers, and marketing teams to create, maintain, and evolve artist brands.
  • Build knowledge of each artist and their management team's processes, goals, and efforts.
  • Generate timelines and budgets for project needs and key dates/deadlines.
  • Ownership of project ideation and lead the development of creative concepts and initiatives.
  • Coordinate artist appearances with internal departments and outside vendors.
  • Oversee the creation and timely delivery of production elements and tools required for album releases.
  • Secure strategic marketing placements and opportunities with outside partners.
  • Understand demographics of artists' fan bases and develop product suites to increase revenue streams.
  • Create and coordinate special events in conjunction with album releases and tour dates.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire junior staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of marketing and/or product management experience at a record label.
  • Project Management experience at a previous music label.
  • Excellent knowledge of all departments within a label, including Digital, Publicity, A&R, Creative, Production, and Promotion.
  • Superior communication and teamwork skills; creativity and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Experience breaking new artists with a keen understanding of current market conditions, trends, and best practices.
