Role Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Energy Program Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide dedicated, on-site support as part of our Engineering Operations team. This role is crucial for overseeing energy management initiatives and ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and mandates while striving to improve energy and water efficiency across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert energy management and program support, including the assessment and execution of energy and water initiatives, ASHRAE Level 2 audits, and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Conduct evaluations for energy and water benchmarking, assist with metering systems, and troubleshoot connectivity challenges.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced technologies and energy conservation systems, including renewable energy solutions.
  • Perform utility analyses to identify discrepancies, diagnose issues, and recommend cost-effective improvements.
  • Collaborate with installations to confirm utility reimbursement agreements and ensure compliance with utility cost standards.
  • Provide guidance for new construction and renovation projects, ensuring energy and water efficiency features are integrated into designs.
  • Lead energy and water awareness initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in applied mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineering registration.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in healthcare and energy engineering, with a focus on the management of large mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in energy, utilities, and mechanical/electrical disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of energy audits, load profile data, and energy project development.
  • Experience in managing energy services and familiarity with energy estimation software.
  • Proficient in documenting maintenance procedures and utilizing software for energy management.
  • Knowledge of energy-related legislation and protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
