Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care, including preparing treatment spaces, organizing equipment, and maintaining a tidy and efficient work area.
  • Support clients with therapeutic exercises and activities under the guidance of a physical therapist.
  • Keep precise and thorough patient records, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, reminders for appointments, and follow-up communications.
  • Ensure all equipment is sanitized and functioning properly.
  • Help educate clients on appropriate exercise methods and strategies for injury prevention.
  • Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for clients, ensuring their experience at our facility is enjoyable and stress-free.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and enjoyable work culture.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program, ideally with an interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, or a related discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • A positive demeanor, with a sincere desire to assist others and be part of a team.
  • Capability to follow directions and work independently when required.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy and exercise techniques is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is beneficial but not essential.
