Cash Support is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions. As a Cash Support Specialist, you will play a key part in preparing payment batches, locating payment details, and monitoring daily cash flow for the department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy of bank receipts and communicate any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Email payment details to clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Verify, tally, and tear scanned checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Consolidate and print accurate barcode coversheets for payment batches.
  • Research and locate payment details for checks via online or phone, following department expectations.
  • Maintain logins for various websites and communicate website/login issues.
  • Monitor and maintain payment batches for timely posting.
  • Retrieve Payments/EOBs from the Document Management System.
  • Research and notate accounts with proper payment details.
  • Monitor and pull needed EOBs timely to ensure clients meet close date.
  • Knowledge of government payor programs and insurance EOBs.
  • Communicate with payors, staff, and clients as needed.
  • Respond to questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct all job tasks, duties, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulations.
  • Work independently to define problems, identify causes, and initiate steps necessary for resolution in a timely manner; follow through with the process to completion.
  • Consistently support and demonstrate the company mission and values.
  • Serve as backup to other team members as required.
  • Research and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other necessary tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Flexible in adapting to shifting daily priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within tight time constraints.
  • Capable of handling a large volume of work.
  • Skilled at identifying relevant information from reports or other documents.
  • Process batches with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional telephone etiquette.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Open Office, 10-key, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Quick thinker with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Possess excellent working knowledge of team objectives, duties, tasks, processes, and production.
  • Medical transportation and billing processes.
  • Terminology on a Patient Care Report (PCR), Hospital Face Sheet, and/or a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Sheet.
