The Instrument Technician I will be responsible for coordinating and communicating daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders. This role requires a detailed knowledge of inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, sterilizing, and inspecting of instrumentation.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process.
  • Perform Biologic Indicator testing as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization/organization skills.
  • Basic knowledge of reading computer printouts and working from task lists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization.
  • 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department.
