Job Description: We are in search of a skilled Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be tasked with developing comprehensive electrical designs for facilities, while also mentoring and guiding the designers assigned to your project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of advanced electrical principles, calculations, and system components, applying these skills to generate the necessary designs.
  • Act as the Engineer of Record for projects under your leadership.
  • Review the work of colleagues and provide clear guidance to advance the design process.
  • Offer mentorship to junior associates, fostering their professional growth.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, photometric software, and other essential tools to facilitate project setup and workflow.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices, applying them effectively in electrical design.
  • Develop calculations, design narratives, and work plans that serve as the foundation for power, lighting, and fire alarm systems, as well as single line/riser diagrams and schedules.
  • Understand the requirements of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems that necessitate electrical power, coordinating these needs within the electrical design.
  • Manage the electrical components of projects and budgets with minimal oversight.
  • Participate in internal and client meetings, providing direction, making technical decisions, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
  • Conduct site visits and investigations independently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to encourage further collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth, preparing for increased responsibilities.
  • Take ownership of the quality of work produced.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with P.E. certification (required), along with 6+ years of relevant technical experience (required), including military training and field experience.
  • Experience in a professional A/E office, consulting firm, or construction contractor is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, photometric software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
