Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Sarasota Surgery Center. As a Radiographer PRN, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Assist with imaging patient care, file room, general clerical, and physician assistance duties.
  • Position patients for radiologic examinations, shield patients appropriately, and prepare them for procedures.
  • Operate radiologic machines, take x-ray images, and develop films for diagnostic purposes.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, maintain equipment, and keep records and files up-to-date.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of email systems, Microsoft Outlook, and WebMD.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This position requires sitting and standing for long periods, lifting or turning disabled patients, and working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Sarasota Surgery Center offers a climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours, with occasional evening and/or weekend work.
