Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer PRN to work in our outpatient surgery department. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing fluoroscopic procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
• Conduct imaging patient care, file room, general clerical, and physician assistance duties as needed.
• Position patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring proper anatomical posture and shielding.
• Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure and removing any articles that may interfere with x-rays.
• Operate stationary or portable radiologic machines to take x-rays images of various body parts.
• Develop, make copies, and fix x-ray films for use in diagnosing medical problems.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
• Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, including training under an accredited medical radiologist.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques, as well as standardized radiologic clinical procedures.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
The Radiographer PRN will work in a normal busy office environment with much telephone work. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, and working conditions may change as needs evolve.
