As an independent contractor Optometrist/Ophthalmologist, you will play a crucial role in this mission.

About the Opportunity

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with veterans from diverse backgrounds, assessing their eye conditions and providing medical opinions that support their disability claims. Your Role as a Provider

As a clinician, you are an expert in evaluating and diagnosing health conditions. As an independent contractor with VES, you will apply your expertise to evaluate and diagnose eye conditions, gathering and synthesizing clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You will develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the veteran's condition is related to their military service.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $78,000 - $234,000, depending on location and experience. In addition, you will enjoy a flexible schedule and the opportunity to diversify your income while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our low-risk model means you will not be responsible for treatment or prescription of medications, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to grow their practice or add variety to their schedule.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctorate Degree in Medicine (Ophthalmology) or Doctorate Degree in Optometry
  • An active and unrestricted license in the state where exams will be performed
  • A practice location with visual field testing capabilities
