Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Transportation Fleet Supervisor is accountable for managing all elements of a fleet of vehicles. The primary objective is to ensure that the fleet is properly maintained, complies with legal standards, and operates efficiently to enhance productivity while minimizing expenses. This role involves fostering and nurturing relationships with drivers to boost overall satisfaction and retention rates. Additionally, the supervisor collaborates closely with drivers to coordinate timely deliveries to their designated locations. Proficiency in communication, analytical thinking, and organizational capabilities is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of drivers to guarantee exceptional customer service and fleet profitability.
  • Handle all facets of dedicated customer service, including load scheduling and resolving service issues.
  • Plan daily operations for equipment and drivers while ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Serve as the intermediary between customers, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with drivers to enhance performance and promote retention.
  • Authorize payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in developing and managing tailored Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support goal achievement.

This position requires on-site presence at the customer location. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM. Due to the shift timing, this role qualifies for a shift differential in addition to the annual base salary.

Compensation: Starting wages range from $66,560 to $80,127 (paid bi-weekly). *Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, expertise, and location. Typically, candidates are offered a salary between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
