Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components
  • Provide preventative maintenance services to our customers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks
  • Assist customers with roadside services, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces
  • Interact with customers and drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better

Requirements:

  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and in close quarters
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's)
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
