Position Overview

The Infantry serves as the essential component of the Army. These Soldiers are the ones who physically engage in combat, tasked with securing or maintaining territory during military operations. Your role will involve attacking, defending, and capturing enemy positions utilizing advanced weaponry and strategic methods.

• Participate in reconnaissance missions

• Deploy, fire, and retrieve anti-personnel and anti-tank mines

• Process captured personnel and relevant documents

Compensation While Training

Instead of incurring costs to acquire these skills, you will earn a salary while training. In the Army National Guard, you will gain these essential job skills while receiving a consistent paycheck and qualifying for educational assistance.

Training Requirements

Training for an Infantryman includes 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). This training consists of both classroom instruction and field exercises under simulated combat conditions.
