We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. As a key member of our residential lending team, you will be responsible for originating and closing residential mortgage loans for outside referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products and underwriting guidelines.
- Utilize technology to efficiently manage loan applications, credit reports, and other documentation.
- Communicate effectively with branches, applicants, and support staff to ensure timely updates and progress reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
- Experience with residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proven computer skills and basic sales technique skills.
- S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required.
