Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to both pharmacist and non-pharmacist staff within the Inpatient Pharmacy environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing pharmaceutical services.
  • Collaborate with the Inpatient Pharmacy Director to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing pharmacy operations.
  • Manage daily operations of assigned pharmacy areas, ensuring efficient drug distribution and education.
  • Participate in performance measurement and improvement activities, focusing on regulatory compliance and employee development.
  • Work alongside healthcare providers and department heads to implement and assess quality management programs.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures consistently, providing direction and supervision to pharmacy personnel.
  • Oversee training and development programs to ensure staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role within a pharmacy setting or completion of an accredited pharmacy PGY1 or PGY2 residency.
  • A degree in Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, with an understanding of the professional, legal, and business aspects.
  • The ability to thrive in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
