Job Summary

The Server is a key member of our dining team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our residents. As a Server, you will be the face of our community, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to all residents visiting the dining rooms and activities
  • Ensure the physical appearance of dining rooms and server stations is maintained to the highest standards
  • Act as a mentor for new associates and ensure all checklists are completed during shifts
  • Work with the Department of Health on schedules and ensure temperature logs are completed during shifts
  • Assign job tasks and complete additional job duties as needed, and follow up on assigned tasks
  • Work with the culinary team to ensure memory care residents are served in a timely fashion and assist with clean-up in the memory care unit
  • Ensure the dining areas exceed standards of appearance and cleanliness
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times
  • Provide a pleasant dining experience for all residents, while following instructions to meet their specific dietary needs when necessary

Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year experience in "front of the house operations" within a restaurant, hotel, club, or similar environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
  • Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition
