About the Role

The Swift Group is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers and developers to design, implement, and maintain complex systems software in a production environment.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting best practices within a cloud-native environment.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Amazon ECS.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Ruby.
  • Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of production code deliveries.
  • Experience with infrastructure orchestration and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) and container orchestration technologies.
  • Documented experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Documented experience implementing monitoring and alerting best practices within a cloud-native environment.
  • Comfortable managing release procedures for a production environment and optimizing release practices to a fully automated practice.
  • Candidate must be able to collaborate and communicate asynchronously with a passion for solving complex problems.
