Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a wastewater treatment plant facility, ensuring the safe and efficient removal of harmful materials, chemicals, and microorganisms from wastewater.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Control and Monitoring: Control equipment and monitor processes to remove or destroy harmful materials, chemicals, and microorganisms from wastewater.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Run tests to ensure that processes are working correctly and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain pumps and motors that move water and wastewater through filtration systems.
  • Plant Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor indicators at the plant and make adjustments to optimize plant performance.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Keep records that document compliance with regulatory requirements and plan emergency reaction protocols.

Requirements

  • License and Certification: Possess a FL C-Wastewater Operator's License or higher.
  • Education and Experience: High school/GED education or higher and 1+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
  • Background Check: Pass a required background check for a government facility.
