Job Summary

The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our Admissions team as an Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions.

Main Responsibilities

Recruitment and Counseling

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and engage transfer students.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students, families, and the public.
  • Counsel transfer students on the college admissions process and present the benefits of educational opportunities and student life.

Transfer Student Management

  • Manage application and enrollment processes for transfer students.
  • Review applications for admission to the College, including completing credential reviews for all transfer students.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in our data management system.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with current students, staff, administration, faculty, and alumni to achieve departmental goals.
  • Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and contribute to departmental discussions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related fields, including higher education, business, sales, marketing, and counseling.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including CRM and database management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with small, private college environments and a working knowledge of College policies and procedures.
