We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Fillmore County Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgical teams during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the operating suite is adequately prepared.
- Monitor surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Transport patients between departments, adhering to established protocols and ensuring safe arrival.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and orderliness of work areas, delivering equipment and supplies as needed.
- Ensure a clean environment in direct and indirect patient care areas, adhering to established protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance, performance, and quality improvement initiatives, supporting facility and department operations.
- Comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, including HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum one year of healthcare training, certified surgical training preferred.
- Prior orientation to surgical procedures and familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment preferred.
The Surgical Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of settings.
