Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at DHR Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT procedures in a timely and accurate manner, working collaboratively with other members of the Radiology team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT procedures according to physician's orders and procedure protocols.
  • Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures.
  • Perform quality control and maintenance on equipment.
  • Responsible for the care and cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and work area.
  • Accurately comprehend and interpret verbal orders and directions.
  • Assume responsibility for the collection and processing of patient specimens.
  • Complete accurate documentation on patient records according to policy.
  • Perform training and education of CT technologists with the appropriate procedure protocols.
  • Maintain Texas Department of Health, American College of Radiology, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • Current state certification (TMB) required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) general certification required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS recommended.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in CT.
  • Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
  • Secretarial experience and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required. Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Computer knowledge required.
Working Conditions:

The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III.
