About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our DynamoDB Border Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining systems that provide discovery and management of DynamoDB's service endpoints across all supported network fabrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop highly distributed, large-scale services that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to manage day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
  • Deliver high-quality features on time and on budget.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property of Amazon through patents and external publications.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
