About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Machine Learning Applications team at Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in the AWS Neuron group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, enabling, and performance tuning of a wide variety of machine learning model families, including large language models, stable diffusion, and vision transformers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop distributed training solutions for large-scale machine learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other frameworks.
  • Collaborate with chip architects, compiler engineers, and runtime engineers to create and optimize distributed training solutions for AWS Trainium and Inferentia silicon.
  • Work closely with the ML Distributed Training team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and services.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Deep Learning industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred previous software engineer expertise with PyTorch/Jax/TensorFlow, distributed libraries and frameworks, and end-to-end model training.
