Fuel Center Clerk Job Description

At Jay C, we're committed to providing exceptional customer service and a safe, clean environment for our customers and employees. As a Fuel Center Clerk, you'll play a vital role in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Model Customer 1st behavior and deliver excellent customer service to our customers.
  • Pump Gas: Safely pump gas for customers and maintain a clean and organized fueling area.
  • Daily Tour and Inspection: Complete a daily tour of the fuel center and inspect the area to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Incident and Security Reports: Fill out incident and security reports as needed and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fuel center, including recovering displays and cleaning up fuel spills.
  • Cashier Functions: Perform cashier functions, including handling customer transactions and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Telephones: Answer telephones and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Corporate Policies: Comply with corporate policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and standards.
  • Emergency Plans: Maintain knowledge of emergency plans, numbers, and procedures and be able to respond accordingly.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Desired Qualifications: Any related experience and knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
