About the Role

Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team. As a Radiology Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Assist in maintaining medical records and respecting confidentiality and established policy.
  • Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities and evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality.
  • Identify and respond to emergency situations and provide optimal patient care.
  • Perform venipuncture and start, maintain, and/or remove intravenous access as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Verify archival storage of data and informed consent for applicable procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Participate in the department's quality assessment and improvement plan.
  • Assist with duplication of patient records for requesting entities.
  • Transport patients as necessary and obtain additional patient records as needed.
  • Maintain continuing education hours as required by the ARRT.
  • Restock rooms and maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Take call as required.
Requirements
  • C-Arm proficiency and experience with fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Pediatrics and trauma procedures experience.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
