Job Overview:

As a Chief Engineer at Sinclair Broadcast Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcasting facilities.

About the Job:

  • Oversee all engineering functions, including planning and budgeting for future equipment installations.
  • Manage training and hiring processes for engineering staff.
  • Supervise maintenance of computer software, hardware, and local area network applications.
  • Ensure software license compliance and up-to-date versions.
  • Supervise preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast equipment.
  • Work with Corporate leadership to ensure security and FCC compliance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in broadcast electrical system and equipment maintenance.
  • Experience training and managing technicians.
  • Proficiency in evaluating, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining broadcast equipment and IT systems.
  • Dedication to quality and time management while upholding FCC regulations.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes.
  • Ability to work on ladders and lift computers or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • A technical degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • SBE certification and A+ certification preferred.
