The Brenau University seeks an experienced Academic Program Specialist to lead its assessment initiatives. As the Director of Continuous Improvement, this individual will collaborate with various departments to ensure ongoing improvement in academic programs and administrative offices.


This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an institutionally-accredited college or university in a relevant field. Two years of experience working with data and/or in a higher education setting are also necessary. Additionally, knowledge and skills related to understanding and implementation of the assessment cycle for continuous improvement are required.


The successful candidate will have experience using software supporting collection and tracking of data for assessment of academic programs, administrative units, and learning outcomes. Data engineering skills (Excel, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, Access, etc.) are also essential. Strong written communication skills and a desire for lifelong learning are desirable traits for this position.


Responsibilities:


  • Support ongoing compliance with regional accrediting standards (SACSCOC) with regard to assessment documentation for all academic programs and cross-curricular outcomes stated in the catalog.
  • Serve as the liaison between compliance software and the university to maintain site operability, pull reports as needed, and adjust processes when necessary.
  • Gather and produce documentation with supporting narrative for accreditation renewal (including ongoing collaboration on the QEP Assessment Plan / Impact Report).

Working Conditions:


This is a 37.5-hour per week position, typically requiring an 8:30am-5pm M-F schedule. The work environment is sedentary, performed in an office setting, and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.


The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
