Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Stantec. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for leading EHS projects and providing technical consulting services to our clients in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead EHS projects from due diligence to facility decommissioning and divestiture
  • Conduct EHS audits and assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Develop and implement EHS procedures and training programs for industrial and manufacturing clients
  • Provide technical consulting services on EHS regulatory compliance matters, including permit management and routine regulatory reporting
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and implement energy and water use efficiency measures and sustainability solutions
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience in EHS, including due diligence, auditing, and compliance assurance
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to analyze technical data and problem-solve
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and ability to travel for client meetings and site visits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and industrial sector projects
  • Field experience in industrial EHS compliance and environmental assessment implementation and oversight
