Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at the South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the planning, development, and implementation of day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring effective revenue cycle management, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise staff in the planning, development, and implementation of day-to-day clinic operations.
- Implement administrative policies and procedures, ensuring effective communication with staff at all levels.
- Monitor financial operations of clinics and departments, ensuring effective revenue cycle management.
- Collaborate with other SEARHC departments and locations to ensure effective clinic operations, patient flow, and compliance.
- Address patient and other customer complaints, incorporating customer feedback into the development of clinic policies, procedures, and planning.
- Implement and monitor objectives consistent with the SEARHC Strategic Health Plan, Key Performance Indicators, quality measures, and business plans.
- Utilize continuous quality improvement tools to address operational issues and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Promote and share information with clinic team members.
- Optimize personnel and financial resources, working with the Director of Specialty Services to prepare the annual budget for specialty services and ensuring efficient delivery of healthcare services within allotted budget.
- Identify areas of needed staff development and facilitate training and coordinate participation in appropriate Consortium-wide training opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with providers and affected departments to implement growth plans, identifying barriers and designing solutions.
- Facilitate and participate in quality improvement activities to monitor compliance with high standards of patient care and identify areas needing focus for performance improvement.
- Supervise assigned employees and be responsible for recruiting, hiring, coordinating training, and evaluating employees, as well as other personnel activities.
- Communicate potential administrative concerns and unresolved employee or patient issues to the System Director of Specialty Services.
- Work collaboratively with Consortium leadership to set departmental goals and develop implementation plans.
- Identify departmental needs for personnel, equipment, supplies, and training and utilize such data for program planning with Specialty Leadership Team.
- Implement regulatory agency standards in departments and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure compliance with payers and regulatory requirements.
- Associate's degree, bachelor's preferred.
- Current BLS or obtained within 6 months.
- Minimum of 4 years healthcare-related experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 years healthcare-related experience.
- OR 6+ years of healthcare management experience may be considered in lieu of any degree.
- This position does require supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of organizational functions and clinic operations.
- Understanding of basic processes of administration and relationships involved in delivering health programs.
- Administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills.
