Job Summary

As a key member of the Jabil security team, the Assistant Security Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a strong security system to prevent the loss of assets, including physical, intellectual property, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Security Manager in executing a robust security system to prevent asset loss and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance the efficiency of security management through coaching and providing up-to-date security approaches.
  • Proactively support and coordinate security efforts across all operations functions and departments.
  • Take the initiative to enhance physical protection responsibilities, including asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, employee education, and awareness.
  • Ensure security systems are consistent across all confidential working stations.
  • Develop and implement audit plans to achieve the highest performance of security policy and meet customer requirements.
  • Investigate security breaches and legal matters.
  • Foster good relationships with the local enforcement community.
  • Support the Security training program and build a strong Security team.
  • Collaborate with site management on performance reviews for site security members.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively present information to Ops Manager and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with complex situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Extensive working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and email skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Good project management experience with physical security monitoring systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience and required industry experience.
  • Good experience with Emergency Response Planning and Continuity of Operations.
