Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist mechanics in conducting preventive maintenance inspections on tractors and cargo tank trailers.
  • Support in executing moderate to complex repairs on various systems including engines, drive trains, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, fuel, cooling, electrical, and instrumentation.
  • Operate steaming machinery as required.
  • Connect, monitor, and disconnect steam to the heating coils of loaded cargo tanks.
  • Document heating operations accurately in a steam log.
  • Verify product names on bills of lading against Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prior to initiating steam operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade or technical school graduates preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical roles.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions with precision.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Able to operate heavy machinery, such as steamers or boilers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with standard hand and power tools.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
