Role Summary:

The Wastewater Technician will play a crucial role within our operations team. This position involves managing and overseeing the wastewater treatment processes, ensuring adherence to environmental standards, and maintaining precise documentation. The technician will also receive cross-training in various departments, including maintenance and facilities management, to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment systems, including all associated equipment.
  • Monitor treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct routine testing of wastewater samples to verify system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues within the treatment process.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary treatment chemicals and testing supplies.
  • Document all treatment processes accurately, including logs and regulatory reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or environmental science is advantageous.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to wastewater management.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various physical positions.
