As the Managing Clinical Director at AZPetVet, you will play a pivotal role in steering the clinical operations of our hospital, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to our clients. Collaborating closely with the Hospital Owner and administrative departments, you will strive to surpass financial, operational, and cultural objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Hospital Owner and Talent Acquisition team to recruit and retain top veterinary talent and meet veterinarian hiring goals.
- Implement and follow AZPetVet orientation and training to drive doctor/staff retention and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Owner, Hospital Manager, HRBP, and Operations Manager to manage staff and veterinarian performance, and implement performance management programs to meet and exceed hospital performance goals.
- Communicate relevant people and culture updates to hospital staff and ensure the hospital is aligned with the strategic direction of the business.
- Act as a brand ambassador, exhibiting the AZPetVet core values, and continuously coach and push hospital leadership to raise the cultural bar.
- Ensure all DVMs are up to date on the latest veterinary procedures and techniques.
- Support and participate in personal development plans, including pathways to success, performance improvement notifications, and training goals for associate veterinarians.
- Implement new DVM and hospital workflows, policies, and procedures, leveraging operational best practices to support client focus and high-quality medicine standards.
- Support marketing and new client acquisition efforts, and adhere to pricing/discounting structure under the direction of the Hospital Owner.
- Ensure client satisfaction goals are met and exceeded through superior client service initiatives.
- Participate in local marketing efforts as needed, and collaborate with the Hospital Owner, Hospital Manager, and operations team to optimize expense and product selection, and inventory management.
- Identify training opportunities onsite for team, and/or leadership, and provide appropriate resources for implementation.
- Participate in hospital recruitment efforts to maintain proper staffing levels and ensure top talent is selected.
- Valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) license in good standing.
- 2+ years of experience in clinical veterinary medicine required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated commitment to cultural excellence.
- Considerable expertise in veterinary medicine.
- Ability to review and analyze reports.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
