Cardiac Catheterization Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.
- Assist in Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology procedures while maintaining a sterile field, and perform various procedures that require independent judgment, high level of skill proficiency, and extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the heart.
- Work together with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team, and participate in helping the department with plans to improve Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data.
- Available for On-Call shifts as assigned, and maintain a team environment and culture.
- Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development, and assist in orientation of new staff and/or serve as a mentor.
- Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Educational Requirements: Associate Nursing Degree.
- Minimum Experience: One year work experience in Critical Care, Cath Lab, ER, or OR.
- Preferred Licensure or other certifications: National certification in clinical specialty as eligible.
- Preferred Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
- Preferred Experience: Previous specialty experience preferred.
