About the Role

We are seeking an experienced FP&A Finance Analyst to join our Business Unit (BU) FP&A team at Synopsys. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical business insights and drive strategic decision-making through financial analysis and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth analysis of P&L results to deliver business insights and identify trends in support of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Business Operations to explore and drive margin improvement ideas, including portfolio optimization, inventory, and cost efficiencies
  • Establish benchmarks to assess the performance of product/project investment and recommend actions
  • Engage in profitability improvement initiatives during new product introduction phases
  • Maintain ownership of BU P&L and inventory models, collaborating across BU teams to evolve models and incorporate automation through data analytics tools for efficiency
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to influence and drive change within the organization

Requirements
  • BA or MBA in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields with relevant finance experience in the semiconductor, software, or technology industries
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, including managing costs and driving inventory improvements
  • Proficiency with large data sets and analytic tools such as MS Power BI and Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with and influence senior leaders
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work effectively with others to solve problems
