Key Responsibilities
  • Functional Control
    • Establish and maintain effective functional control processes to ensure efficient plant operations.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant performance, productivity, and quality.
  • Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S)
    • Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential EH&S risks.
  • Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement
    • Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve plant efficiency, productivity, and quality.
    • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Talent Management/Human Resources

  • Capital Expenditure Management
    • Develop and implement capital expenditure plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Manage and oversee capital projects to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Project Management
    • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement project improvements.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Develop and implement reporting and analysis processes to ensure accurate and timely data.
    • Provide regular reports to management on plant performance, productivity, and quality.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Science, or a Business-related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering-related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in capital expenditure management.
    • 5+ years of experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methods.
    • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
    • 3+ years of experience in installation or logistics.
  • Skills
    • Lean Manufacturing experience.
    • Six Sigma Green/Black belt preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles/budgeting.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and processes with technical ability.
    • Strong supervisory, teambuilding, decision-making, and people management skills.
    • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
    • Demonstrated understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations.
    • Project management experience preferred.
    • Ability to work well independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to recruit and develop high-performing teams in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to develop and implement processes that drive continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting business reports, metrics, and KPIs.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, used to effectively represent the company with responses to inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, and regulatory agencies.
    • Familiarity with logistics, including oversized loads, crane, and forklift operations.
    • Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
    • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office software.
    • Travel requirements: Generally, less than 10% with occasional overnights.
    • Bilingual-Spanish/English.
