Description:
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of all materials and products between the company and our customers or suppliers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Promote and Adhere to Company Values: The successful candidate will promote and adhere to the company's mission statement, core values, and behavior code.
- Secure Loading and Unloading: Responsible for ensuring the secure loading, fastening, and unloading of materials and finished products to trucks and trailers.
- Equipment Inspection: Responsible for the inspection of all equipment prior to each drive to and from the company.
- Route Planning: Effectively plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- CDL and Health Requirements: Must possess a current and valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL), participate in routine health check-ups, and maintain appropriate records with the Texas Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with all shop departments to ensure an efficient flow of materials and product.
- Material Handling: Perform all necessary duties of a Material Handler during non-driving occasions.
- Electronic Logging Device (ELD): Effectively maintain the electronic logging device (ELD) to accurately track, manage, and share records of duty status (RODS) data.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat and orderly condition. Conduct regular safety inspections of area.
- Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate and promote teamwork and cooperation with team members at all levels in the organization to solve problems and improve processes.
- Personal and Professional Development: Continually learn from team members and strive to develop personal and professional skills.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required to wear appropriate PPE as required by job duties.
- Company Goals: Promote company goals with a focus on Safety, Quality, and Production.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3+ Years Related Truck Driving Experience: Minimum of 3+ years related truck driving experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Long-Hour Driving and Travel: Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Work Pace and Efficiency: Ability to work at a consistent, steady, and quick pace.
- Truck Driving Regulations: Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This full-time position operates in a production environment. The employee must be able to lift light to average weight. Employee must be able to work in all weather conditions, and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Work performed requires constant alertness and activity; concentrated mental and visual attention is required.

Steel-toed shoes (required), Safety glasses w/side shields (required), Long-sleeved shirt (must be tucked into pants, required), Long pants, no cuffs (required), Hearing protection (required in production areas), Work gloves (required).
