Worksite Location: Oak Park Heights, MN

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $120-135k plus bonus and profit sharing

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Project Manager:
  • Utilize established transformation methodologies, tools, and templates to lead or assist in medium-scale cross-functional projects that involve the engineering or re-engineering of financial capabilities and systems.
  • Oversee relationships with business process owners, operational experts, project sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure collaboration and alignment on project scope, timelines, deliverables, and trade-offs from inception to completion.
  • Guide, mentor, and supervise project subject matter experts and team members effectively.
  • Address performance issues in accordance with company policy, involving the employee's direct line management.
  • Provide operational support to maintain expertise in current business processes and systems while facilitating ongoing transformation efforts.
Qualifications for the Finance Project Manager Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in transformation initiatives or equivalent.
  • PMP Certification is advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of complex accounting practices, processes, and principles, with 7 years of experience supporting transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in leading or implementing financial business process changes at an enterprise level.
  • Operational familiarity with formal business process transformation tools such as Lean Six Sigma, project management, and process analysis certifications.

Note: This position is not for an IT Project Manager; candidates must possess experience in enhancing Finance/Accounting departments.
