Construction Project Manager

About the Role:
The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Parks department, you will be responsible for managing construction projects involving multiple partners, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction work on capital projects with varying degrees of complexity.
- Oversee the approval process of construction projects, including making recommendations and reviewing change orders.
- Consult with Landscape Architects, Architects, or Engineers of Record regarding change orders and shop drawing approvals.
- Provide oversight of contractors to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
- Review and research contractors' dispute claims and advise Borough Director on solutions.
Requirements:
- A four-year high school diploma or its equivalent, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting construction projects.
- Or one year of experience as described above and a baccalaureate degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field.
