Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at RieLes Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough medical assessments for new clients admitted to our facilities, including The Relatives, PRTF, and foster care locations.
• Provide medical care and consultation as needed for residential clients, adhering to the scope of practice for your credentials.
• Assist in maximizing billing for services provided, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.
• Arrange schedules to be available for medication management, meeting the demands of our facilities at least once per month.
• Provide medication administration audits and consultation to unlicensed staff at our agency locations, excluding the main campus.
• Exercise professional judgment in all matters involving professional relationships, adhering to standards of professional care, conduct, and responsibility.
• Cover on-call duties at least one weekend per month for restrictive interventions and consultation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Maintain open communication with other departments to ensure seamless client care.
• Attend training sessions as required for your position and to maintain licensure/certification requirements.
• Explain procedures and treatments to clients, gaining cooperation, understanding, and alleviating apprehension through awareness of their comfort and safety needs.
• Observe clients, record significant conditions and reactions, and relay information regarding patient condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol, including taking vital signs.
• Initiate a patient education plan according to individualized needs, as prescribed by our centers' policy, including patient and family instruction.

Qualifications:

• M.D. degree, with Board Eligibility or Certification as a Psychiatrist.
• Current Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
• Current Physician License and Controlled Substance License from the State.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to develop evidenced-based practices and analyze programmatic outcomes.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals.
• Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from clients and families, and outside treatment providers, and members of the community.
• Ability to write articles for publication, conforming to prescribed style and format.
• Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.
• Ability to define and solve problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions while handling both abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands:

This role requires regular use of hands, talking, and hearing, with occasional need to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, sit, and reach. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
