About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Life Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Integrity Marketing Group. As a Senior Life Insurance Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and classifying life insurance risks to determine insurability and determine targeted carriers to drive the best possible outcomes on life insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and summarize lifestyle, medical, non-medical, and financial data to accurately evaluate and classify risks
  • Apply underwriting and product experience to deliver competitive outcomes
  • Identify and address underwriting challenges within life applications, lab results, exams, and medical records
  • Advocate and negotiate with insurance carriers on formal and informal offers
  • Consult with agents, brokers, internal staff, insurance companies, and medical professionals to gather additional information to favorably position risks
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and changes in relation to underwriting
  • Utilize web-based Agency Management System (AMS) to document UW Summary and important information related to cases
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in life insurance underwriting
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, medical, or life sciences, or a related field
  • Strong phone and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Prior experience in online reinsurance manuals, carrier-specific manuals, crediting/table-shave programs, and published guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of life insurance industry, including key carriers and product strengths
