Job Summary

As an EMR Coordinator Primary Care, you will be responsible for onsite training, implementation, and support of the Athena EMR system within an ambulatory practice setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as the EMR Coordinator for the Athena system, ensuring seamless implementation and support.
  • Completes and submits all User Access Forms for new users and role changes for existing users, maintaining accurate user access and roles.
  • Performs the first audit level of user roles and access for the quarterly SOX control, ensuring compliance and security.
  • Works collaboratively with the IT team to troubleshoot and test equipment and software in the clinics, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Conducts and coordinates new and existing staff on the Athena EMR functions and workflow, providing comprehensive training and support.
  • Serves as the resident Athena Clinical Support person, trained at the HSC for this role, providing expert support and guidance.
  • Provides updates to clinic staff regarding EMR system changes and enhancements, ensuring a smooth transition.
